Gylliayn grew up in a technical family in Montreal. Her Dad is an entrepreneur who owned a company building computers.
Funny, he had a booth at Expo ’86! Same place where the Olympic Village is.
She ended up getting  her Electronic certificate to work along side her dad (and to borrow the car) .
She started her own Daily Pager Company called ” Intouch Paging” in 1993.
Renting pagers to Hotels , the Entertainment ,Hospitality and Movie Industry  by the day / month.
Also,  expectant Mothers for six weeks at a time donating money back to the hospital of their choice..
After pagers became a thing of the past, she desired to do something she had seen at the Airport.  A lady driving a  Limo.
Within  two weeks, studying to obtain her  Class 4 unrestricted driving liscence-
She become a Limo Driver!
Yes, a Limo Driver...The stories she can tell you!
From driving  P!NK , Hugh Jackman and many other celebrities!
Being a  chauffeur  was not going to be her life long  commitment.
However,  she still holds her license  for  those  occasional referrals.
Later, joined Toastmasters.
Here, she  discovered she had a passion for Public Speaking.
She  quickly became  voted VP Public Relations two years in a row.
After one short year, she was being asked to Speak and Emcee at events such as:
-Vancouver College (spoke to the Gr. 12 Entrepreneurship Class)
-MC/Moderator -Canada as Global Citizen: Is Bill C300 the Answer? (Amnesty International - Business & Human Rights Presents - Liberal M.P. John McKay will speak about Bill C-300
-MC-  Empowering women of Burma (EWOB)- Prof. Tin Yee.

and other private events around Vancouver.

During the off times she  focused on  her passion for  Her Art.
Her Art has always been apart of her life, mostly private until today.
The past few years, a great deal of interest has developed for ‘Gylliayn Art’.
Her Art is her interpretation of how she see’s the world around her.
Aunthentic.
Gylliayn came from a divorced family at a young age.
She grew up in Montreal and then moved to Vancouver in the early 90′s.
Witnessing the many fights between her parents, she started using Art as a way to channel out the arguments and remind her of her authentic self.
She vowed to never believe this was how life was supposed to be.
She loves living in Vancouver and capturing all it’s beauty.
Each piece of her Art brings the focus object closer to you.
Getting rid of the back ground forcing you to see just the Stanley Park Lighthouse, or just the Vancouver Convention Center Sails.
By doing this , it is her way of making the object authentic.
As she did by shutting out all the background noise growing up by focusing on just her Art.
 Seeing the beauty within.
She has opened her own Gallery named La G Gallery located in Gastown. 95% of her work is of Beautiful British Columbia.
A must see in person!
Darcy Rezac , The Managing Director of The Vancouver Board of Trade uses her  ”The Vancouver Convention Center Sails”  Art for his Thank You cards. As well, The Vancouver Board of Trade has used her work as part of their seasonal communication with their clients.
In 2008 Gylliayn  also designed all the Marketing Material for  DaimlerChrysler  Canada.
At La G Gallery you will see the first results of her experiments and new ones added monthly along with some of her unique hand crafted jewelry..Included is her new Mens Jewelry collection named “Malliayn”.

Gylliayn  clearly has a passion for  people, community and her Art.

Gylliayn dedicates her gallery to her late Grandmother who recently past away in Montreal at the age of 98. She was also an Artist and her encouragement ~~

My Design philosophy

Creative Observation.

I visually help you discover your authentic self.

What you see in my art, you will see in your self.

My Inspiration

The  beauty around me.

Every object has it's own energy, voice and presence.

Authentic.

When I stop, pause and look at everything around me, this forces me to realize my own energy, voice and presence in the present. I.  Becoming one.

My Materials

Creative mind, awareness, tablet and a stylus.
